Week 1 Dialogue

Each student was given a round base and a variety of wooden blocks to glue together as they saw fit. When they were done each child shared a story about the sculpture they created.

Posted: April 4, 2009 Filed under: Art at P.S. 373R + MoMA 8 Comments »Two of Mrs. Curran’s art classes at PS373R will be participating in a ten week access program with The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Ms. Kirstin Broussard will be our museum educator. The students will be interacting with original works of art by various artists in a positive and stimulating way. The students will use these works of art as a catalyst for their own creative expression. They will be developing their own creative thinking skills as well as being exposed to new materials and art-making techniques in order to expand and explore their own creative vocabulary. There will be eight on site visits and two visits to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City!! Please join us on our artistic journey.
